Prince William and Kate Visit America

Prince William and Kate are Coming to America

The British are coming! The British are coming!

And many Americans can’t wait, as a matter of fact thousands of us watched these two tie the knot earlier this year.

Their trip to Canada and America has become all the talk.

Thinks people are talking about:

  • Are the Beckhans going to let them stay at their place? - My answer or question to this…. Why? They can stay anywhere they want to stay. Pick a plush hotel and stay there. If the Beckhams want to host a dinner or something that’s ok, but please don’t stay there.
  • How many parties are going to be thrown for them?
  • Who are they going to bring with them?

Now I have no idea why anyone would care about this stuff but people do.
Well people know longer have to speculate because today we found out, as their official itinerary has been revealed for their eight-city Canadian and U.S. extravaganza.

This is the third time Prince William has visited Canada and the first time Kate has been to either Canada or the U.S.

The theme of their 2011 Royal Tour According to Clarence House is "'Moving Forward Together,' from past accomplishments to current service to future achievements."

It is said that Prince William and his new wife Kate will have a combination housekeeper-dresser in their London home, at St. James's Palace.

They will be moving into their Kensington Palace quarters within the next month. Since the position has only been advertised internally at Buckingham Palace, the new staff member has not yet to be chosen.

The new staffer will periodically provide valet service for the duchess, "rather than helping her choose or buy clothes."

Those in the know made it clear that the dresser is not a stylist, and that Kate, 29, will continue to pick out her own clothes and dress herself.

The new couple also will not have a valet or butler as part of the "limited help" they foresee having in their household.

"The decision to take on one member of personal staff ties in with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's intention to move out of Clarence House, where they previously benefited from the help of the domestic staff." A palace source explains.

At present time William and Kate live without help in their main home in Anglesey, north Wales.

About 1900 people were lucky enough to get an invitation to the Royal Wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton.

With its gold lettering and gilded edge, this stiff white card is decorated in gold writing and emblazed with a matching insignia of William's grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, in whose name the invitation is sent.

This beautiful invitation is:

The invitation says those invited are supposed to wear a:

  • uniform
  • morning coat
  • lounge suit

Did you get yours? Got mine… no sir, oh well, it appears that the Duchess of York Sarah Furgeson who just so happens to be William's aunt didn’t get one either :P

It has been said that she was caught soliciting bribes for access to the royal family.

Classic and elegant, the black text on the invitation – which has been issued in the name of the Queen – reads:

‘The Lord Chamberlain is commanded by The Queen to invite. . . to the marriage of His Royal Highness Prince William of Wales, K.G., with Miss Catherine Middleton at Westminster Abbey on Friday, 29th April, 2011 at 11.00am.

‘A reply is requested to State Invitations Secretary, Lord Chamberlain’s Office, Buckingham Palace.'

As she stopped for pictures in the purple-carpeted steps she smiled as her handsome prince placed a guiding hand on her back.

Not Far From Home

Just a stone's throw from Kensington Palace, where the newlyweds plan to get an apartment as their London home, is Perks Field where the children's charity benefit took place in a custom-made marquee.

Arpad Busson the founder of ARK was delighted that the royal couple was the evening's guests of honor.

Busson said that William and Kate, "bridge the generations." "We need to get young philanthropists involved with us.” He continued. “They could not have been a better choice."

In a statement the palace said “William and Prince Harry's foundation and ARK share a common vision and commitment to transform the lives of disadvantaged children in the U.K. and around the world,"

Prince William and Kate set across from each other at a 25-seat table which also set:

A source says that the 28 year old Prince William wants to "get to know Canada better," and his wife Kate who is 29, will be visiting Canada for the first time.

"Canada is very much part of her family's story," says the source. Peter Middleton, her grandfather was stationed there during World War II, serving as a trainee bomber pilot near Calgary.
